KOREA VISA

The information below are applicable for Philippine passport holders only and for tourist visa application. However you may visit the Embassy of Republic of Korea in the Republic of the Philippines page for more details. (click here for more details)
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Completely filled-out computerized visa application form with signature that is hand written printed in A4.
  • Original Passport (6 MONTHS VALID PRIOR TO DEPARTURE DATE)
  • Two passport sized colored picture with white back ground
  • Photocopy of passport’s first page (ID page) and visa or arrival stamps to any OECD countries within the last 4 years
  • Original personal bank certificate
    • must include account type, current balance, account opening date, 6 months average daily balance
  • Original bank statement or certified true copy of passbook for the last 3 months
  • Copy of recent personal income tax return

EMPLOYED:

In addition to the GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certificate of Employment
  • must include applicant’s position, date hired, compensation, address, date of certificate issuance, office landline number (cell phone number is not allowed), email address.
  • Copy of company ID
  • Copy of PRC/IBP IF (if professional)
SELF EMPLOYED/BUSINESSMEN:

In addition to the GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Copy of business registration (DTI OR SEC)
  • Copy of business permit or mayor’s permit

STUDENTS:

  • Original school certification
  • Copy of school ID
  • Copy of PSA birth certificate (if travelling with immediate family)
  • Copy of parent’s documents: original bank certificate, original COE or business documents
RETIREE/SENIOR CITIZENS:

  • Copy of senior citizen card or retirement documents
  • Copy of PSA marriage contract (if travelling with spouse)
HOUSEWIVES/ HOUSEHUSBANDS/ UNEMPLOYED:

  • Copy of NSO/PSA Marriage Certificate
  • Copy of NSO/PSA Birth Certificate
  • Original Affidavit of Support Notarized (If with guarantor)

OVERSEAS FILIPINO WORKERS (OFW):

  • Photocopy of Contract
  • Photocopy of Company ID
  • Photocopy of Residential ID
  • Original Personal Bank Certificate (Local Bank)
  • Original Personal Bank Statement(Local Bank)

  • Copy of invitation letter (notarized)

  • Copy of Medical Certificate

  • Original Guarantee Letter from Manning / Shipping Company in the Philippines (No given format)
  • Copy of 2 Guarantee Letters from Korean Company (Refer to the format in the Korean Embassy website)

    • Original employment certificate of parents (issued within 30 days)
    • Bank certificate of parents/applicant (issued within 30 days)
  • *D4 visa (Korean language course) – amount should be usd5000 or more
  • Financial supporting document (if no scholarship grant)
    • Photocopy of parent’s ITR
  • Original admission certificate from Korea (issued within 3 months)
  • Business permit of the university in Korea
  • Scholarship exchange agreement (for exchange student only)
  • Recommendation issued from Philippines school (for exchange student only)
OTHERS:

  • Copy of ICARD

IF THE COMPANY WILL SHOULDER THE TRIP:

  • Guarantee letter from company

PROMO MECHANICS:

  1. The Multiple Visa Entry Privilege is valid for applicants filed from January 30 – December 31, 2019.
  2. Offer is exclusive to active Gold and above card type of BDO and BPI only (please refers from the list above)
  3. Qualified cardholders are entitled to a provision of multiple Visa entry for use in their travel to Korea.
  4. To be exempted from submission of financial documents (Bank Certificate and ITR), qualified BDO and BPI cardholder must submit the following:
  • Copy of card (front page only)
  • Original copy of recent monthly billing statement OR electronic billing statement with original copy of Certification from the bank
  1. Employment Certificate/ Business Permit are still required.
  2. When availing of Korea travel packages through a Travel agency, BDO, American Express, BPI cardholders shall submit the

required documents to be presented to the Korean embassy.

  1. Issuance of any Visa shall be at the sole discretion of Korean Embassy

Processing period:

20-25 working days

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  1. Applications are accepted Monday-Friday between 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM, while releasing of passports with visa results is between 1:30 PM-4:00 PM. Korean Embassy is closed on Philippine holidays and selected Korean holidays.
  2. All visa applications are subject to approval. Visa processing takes 5 – 7 working days for frequent traveler and 7 – 10 working days for non-frequent traveler.
  3. All documents will remain confidential and will not be returned. Please make copies of submitted documents you may need.
  4. Submit documents to our office at least 3 weeks prior to your travel to avoid rush application.
  5. Remove all covers or jacket of your passports, Staple old and new passports together.
  6. Visa processing fee is PHP 700 per passenger + handling & shipping fee, non-refundable once application is submitted to embassy regardless if granted or denied.
  7. The Korean Embassy will only categorized the applicant as frequent traveler if they have traveled within 5 years in the OECD countries. The original stamp and or old passports are requested to submit to us if the stamp or previous visas are stamped in the old passport.
  8. Each applicant should submit the basic requirements and other requirements base on their status (ex. Employee, Businessman, Housewife, Student, Overseas Contract Workers, Senior Citizen or Retiree)
  1. Proof of relationship must be attached along if travelling with family, such as Marriage Contract, Birth Certificate and etc.
  2. All applicants with unused tourist visa to the OECD member countries, will be considered as first time travelers, and thus, should apply at window 1or window 2.
